Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how StreetGauge ("StreetGauge," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes information in connection with our website, web application, browser extension, waitlist, email communications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
StreetGauge is a real estate deal analysis product designed to help users import listing information, evaluate rental opportunities, model assumptions, compare deals, manage a pipeline, and synchronize certain workflows between the web app and the browser extension. This Privacy Policy is intended to describe our actual product practices in a clear and comprehensive way.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you:
- visit our marketing site or product pages;
- create or use an StreetGauge account;
- use the web application or browser extension;
- join a waitlist, request access, or contact us;
- receive transactional or product-related emails from us; or
- otherwise interact with the Services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, listing platforms, browser vendors, email providers, or other services that you may access outside the Services, even if our product interoperates with or links to them.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account and Identity Information
When you create an account or authenticate with the Services, we may collect information such as your email address, account identifier, authentication credentials or login tokens, session information, and related account security metadata.
b. Information You Submit to the Product
We collect information that you choose to enter, upload, generate, or store in the Services, including:
- property addresses, listing links, and property characteristics;
- purchase assumptions, rent assumptions, financing assumptions, and operating expense assumptions;
- saved deals, scenarios, scenario comparisons, notes, decision reasons, and pipeline stages;
- buy box preferences, settings, assumption profiles, and other configuration data;
- market context, comparable-property information, and imported or enriched listing details; and
- files or exports you generate from the Services.
c. Browser Extension and Listing-Page Data
If you use the browser extension on supported property listing pages, the extension may access and process page content in order to provide the functionality you request. Depending on how you use the extension, this may include:
- the current page URL and page type;
- page HTML or other page content needed to extract listing data;
- property details that the extension extracts from the page;
- temporary pending-sync data used to transfer a deal from the extension to the web app; and
- temporary settings-sync data used to mirror certain saved preferences between the web app and extension.
We use this information to perform the product action you initiate, such as quick analysis, saving a deal, opening a deep-dive workflow, improving listing parsing, or synchronizing information between the extension and the web app. We do not access listing-page content for unrelated advertising purposes.
d. Communications and Waitlist Information
If you join a waitlist, request updates, send us a support inquiry, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your email address, the content of your message, submission metadata, and related follow-up information.
e. Usage, Device, and Diagnostic Information
We may collect product usage and diagnostic information, including feature interactions, page or screen visits, timestamps, error logs, browser type, application version, and similar technical data that helps us operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services.
Some usage events may be associated with your account identifier or other persistent identifiers so that we can understand product usage, measure adoption, investigate issues, and maintain account-specific product behavior. We may also collect limited request metadata, such as IP address or similar network identifiers, for abuse prevention, rate limiting, fraud detection, and security monitoring.
f. Information Stored on Your Device
The Services may store information locally on your device or browser, including through cookies, local storage, session storage, or browser extension storage. This may include session state, saved settings, local-mode deal data, recent activity, pending sync items, and other information necessary to provide the Services.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information for the following business and operational purposes:
- to provide, maintain, host, and operate the Services;
- to create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
- to import, process, analyze, enrich, store, and display deal and listing information;
- to support browser-extension workflows and extension-to-web-app synchronization;
- to save user preferences, assumptions, settings, and workflow state;
- to send transactional communications such as sign-in, account verification, password reset, and product-access emails;
- to respond to support requests, questions, and feedback;
- to improve the Services, develop new features, and understand product usage;
- to monitor, detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, misuse, or security incidents;
- to enforce our terms, policies, and other legal rights; and
- to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful government request.
4. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information. We also do not disclose personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers and infrastructure vendors. We may disclose information to vendors and contractors that provide services on our behalf, such as hosting, storage, authentication, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support, and technical infrastructure.
- At your direction. We may disclose information when you instruct us to do so or when disclosure is necessary to complete a workflow you initiate through the Services.
- Legal and compliance purposes. We may disclose information if we believe doing so is necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, safety, and security of StreetGauge, our users, or others.
- Corporate transactions. We may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, subject to customary confidentiality and legal restrictions.
- Aggregated or de-identified information. We may use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you, subject to applicable law.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar client-side storage technologies to support core product functionality and improve the Services. These technologies may be used to:
- maintain sign-in state and account sessions;
- remember preferences and settings;
- enable local-mode functionality and extension-to-web-app handoffs;
- measure usage and understand how features are used; and
- support security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
If you disable cookies or local storage, certain features of the Services may not function properly.
6. Browser Extension Disclosures
Because StreetGauge includes a browser extension, we want to be explicit about how extension-related data is handled:
- The extension may read information from supported property pages in your active browser tab in order to extract listing details, calculate quick metrics, or prepare information for import into the web app.
- Some extension data may be stored temporarily in browser extension storage, local storage, or session storage so that the web app can complete a user-requested sync or import flow.
- If you choose to push a deal or page context into the web app, the extension may transfer listing details, page URLs, or page HTML to the web app so the requested workflow can be completed.
- Extension data is used to provide the product features you invoke, not to build unrelated advertising profiles.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Services.
In general:
- account and deal data are retained while your account remains active, unless you delete them earlier;
- settings, scenario data, and workflow state may be retained as part of your account data;
- waitlist and support communications may be retained for product operations and follow-up purposes;
- usage logs, security logs, and diagnostic data may be retained for a limited period appropriate to operational, security, and legal needs; and
- certain residual copies may persist in backups or archives for a limited time before deletion.
If you export data from the Services, the exported file may remain on your device or under your control even after you delete information from the Services themselves.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include encryption in transit, authentication controls, logical access restrictions, and data-access rules designed to limit users to their own account data.
No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using the Services in a secure manner.
9. International Processing
StreetGauge and the vendors that support the Services may process and store information in the United States and other jurisdictions where they operate. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than the laws of your country or state of residence.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, export of, deletion of, or restriction of certain personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
You may also take certain actions directly through the Services, including:
- updating some account settings and product preferences;
- exporting certain deal data from the product; and
- deleting certain content or requesting account deletion by contacting us.
You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those emails. Please note that we may still send you transactional or service-related communications, including account, security, billing, legal, and product operation messages.
To submit a privacy request, please contact us at support@streetgauge.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to investigate and, if necessary, delete the information.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above and provide additional notice where appropriate, such as through the Services or by email. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective will be subject to the revised policy.
